WHAT IS THE COLONY?

The Colony is a family-owned business that was purchased, in 2016, by Andrew and Sarah Wetenhall. (There is no connection to other resorts with similar names, like the Colony in Delray Beach, Florida.) The hotel is a historic destination that was established in Palm Beach, Florida, in 1947. It has, since, been enhanced and modernized with a series of renovations, while maintaining its timeless charm.

WHERE IS THE COLONY LOCATED?

The Colony is situated in the heart of Palm Beach , a short distance from both the town’s main beach and Worth Avenue. We’re 5.2 miles from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI); 52 miles from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL); and 74 miles from Miami International Airport (MIA).

IS THERE PARKING FOR OVERNIGHT GUESTS?

Yes, guests have access to parking ($45/24 hours) and valet service.

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIRMENT TO CHECK INTO A ROOM?

Guests must be 18 years of age to check in to the hotel. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

WHAT ARE THE COLONY'S CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?

The check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 12 p.m. Guests who would like to request earlier/later times can contact the Front Desk at (561) 655-5430. (These requests are subject to availability.)

IS THERE A POOL AT THE COLONY?

Yes, one for guests of the main hotel (it’s shaped like the state of Florida), one for guests of The Colony’s villa collection, and one for guests of The Colony’s bungalows.

DO YOU HAVE IN-ROOM MOVIES?

All accommodations have cable television along with thousands of movie selections through our on-demand Xfinity service.

IS THERE A FEE FOR GAME NIGHT?

Dining & Reservation Policies

To ensure the best possible experience for all our guests, please note the following policies:

  • A minimum spend of $50 per person on food and beverage is required (not including tax and gratuity). Guests will be charged the difference if this minimum is not met.

  • A mandatory 20% service charge will be added to all checks. This applies to the restaurant, bars, pool deck, and lawn areas.

  • We have a maximum of 12 guests per reservation on game nights.

  • If guests need to cancel their reservation or adjust the party size, they must notify us by 12:00 p.m. to avoid the $50 no-show/cancellation fee.

  • In the event guests arrive with a different party size, they will be accommodated after the majority of reserved tables have been seated to ensure availability for our booked guests.

  • The Lawn is first come, first served and cannot be reserved in advance.

  • Standing reservations cannot be made more than four weeks in advance. Guests may not reserve tables for the entire season.

DO YOU ALLOW PETS?

For a fee, dogs 25 lbs. and under will be catered to with custom-branded beds and cute treats from The Colony’s kitchen.
