The mischievousness of a caramel-colored mongrel mobilized four firefighters in an unusual rescue in Sabará, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte. The 1-year-and-8-month-old puppy Mel got her head stuck in a hole in a wall while trying to peek into the neighbor’s house.
Mel’s antics were discovered by her owner as she was leaving for work.
Rosângela and five relatives attempted to remove the puppy from the hole in the wall, which serves as a drain for rainwater. The attempt lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. Without success, they turned to the firefighters.
